Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home was founded by Louis Milner. Mr. Milner built the red brick Victorian home on East Main Street in 1898 and the funeral home has always operated out of this facility. Louis's son, Hugh, continued the tradition until after WWII when William Caskey became part of the business. The Caskeys continued and following the death of Bill Caskey, his son, Jeff carried on. On August 1, 1996, the Mitchell family purchased the business and John W. Mitchell II became a partner in the family business and is the manager of Caskey-Mitchell.
