Ray Clemons Sr. of Stockbridge, MI, age 74, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was born on May 7, 1939 in Breathitt, Kentucky the son of Bennie and Bessie (Rowe) Clemons. Ray had worked for Oldsmobile in Lansing for 37 years retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Bunker Hill Pentecostal Church of God for many years. Ray truly loved singing, playing music and visiting with family, especially his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Surviving are four children: Tina Clemons of Lansing, Kellie (Joe) Harp of Mason, Rae Lea (Howard) Troutner of Olivet, and Ray Jr. (Shaye) Clemons of Richmond, VA.; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren in which he truly adored; four sisters, Laura Mischler of Muskegon, Fay (Roger) Plumb of Mason, Carrie Nichols of Stockbridge, and Hazel (Ed) Sponseller of Harrison. Ray was preceded in death by five brothers, Boone, Scott, Charlie, George, and Ishmeal Clemons, and two sisters, Ann Howard, Vicie Nickels. A Memorial Service will be Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from the Bunker Hill Pentecostal Church of God. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the church.
