Lowrensa Carroll, of Munith, MI, age 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior at Stockbridge Country Care on December 5, 2018. He was born on July 21, 1935 in Estill Co., Kentucky the son of the late Charles and Anna (Woolery) Carroll. On June 18, 1960 he married Delores Risner in Bunker Hill, MI, and she preceded him in death in September of 2006. He is survived by his children Holly (Brad) Smith of Stockbridge, and Checotah (Kevin) Theaker of Munith; four grandchildren Heather, Whitney, Taylor, and Colby; and one sister Curlean (Jerry) Wilson of Jackson.
Lowrensa had lived in the area since 1958, moving from Kentucky. He attended Gregory Family Tabernacle, and he also held a membership at Highest Praise Worship Center. He served in the United States Army during 1958-1964. He worked for Federal Screw Works in Chelsea for 29 years. He also worked for Stockbridge State Bank and Victory Ford as a courier. He enjoyed his family and was an avid golfer.
Funeral Services will be held at the Gregory Family Tabernacle, 15901 M-36, Pinckney, on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until time of service with Pastor Jeff Howard officiating. The family will receive friends at Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home on Friday from 5-8 p.m. Contributions can be made to Gregory Family Tabernacle Church of God or Heartland Hospice.
