Helen Diane Toon

Helen Diane Toon, of Chelsea, Michigan, age 84, passed away on March 5, 2019. She was the daughter of Clayton and Eleanor (Tank) Gordon born on October 2, 1934, in Rogers City, Michigan. Helen enjoyed garage sales, state auctions and all auctions in general, crossword puzzles, going on walks, playing card games, board games, reading, and she liked watching T.V., most of all her Detroit Tigers. On October 13, 1956, she married John L. Toon Sr., in Rogers City, MI.

Surviving are her children John Jr. (Linda) Toon, Karen (Butch) Donahoe, Roberta Lear, and Jim Toon; her grandchildren: Tonya, Jessica, Jeremiah, Ashley, Danielle, Christyna, Kelly, and Kayla; her great-grandchildren: Harper, August, Tinley, Blakeley, Claire, Lincoln, Carson, Emma, and Katie, and her brothers Paul Gordon and Tim Gordon, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband on January 5, 2017, and her siblings Barry Gordon, Kathy Kamyszek, and Jim Gordon.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home, Chelsea, on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith in Action.

Karen and family my heart is heavy as you deal with the loss of your mom. I have many fond memories of her and I will never forget her smile. May she rest in peace free of pain. Love you all..

Dear Friends, Iam so sorry to hear of the passing of your dear Mother.When I used to come spend the night with Bobbie and Karen as a teen, your Mother was always very sweet to me. Losing your Parents is very hard, I know. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers throughout this difficult time.
