Kathy J. Borden

Kathy Joanne (Buck) Borden, of Chelsea, MI, passed away on March 12, 2019 with her family by her side.   She was born on November 27, 1956 the daughter of Carroll H. and Gladys J. (Brabant) Buck in Ann Arbor, MI.

She met her loving husband, Michael Borden, of 40 years on a blind date. They were married September 9, 1978 in Chelsea, MI.  Kathy graduated from Chelsea High School in 1975. Her life's career was being a loving and devoted wife, mother, and daughter.   She loved camping with her family and friends, UM Football and teasing endlessly those she loved.   Most especially she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Mike, and children, Laura (Brian) Stouffer, Sarah Borden and Brian (Kim Roberts) Borden, seven  grandchildren, her mother, Gladys Buck Kennedy, sister, Kris (Steve) Bergman, her in-laws, Sam (Carol) Borden, of FL, and Pat Eldridge, of Alabama, several nieces and nephews, and special friend, Donna Green. She was preceded in death by her father, Carroll Buck, her granddaughter, Alyssa Stouffer, and step-father, John Kennedy.

A gathering of friends of family will take place on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home from 6 - 8 p.m.  Private burial will take place at Oak Grove East Cemetery at a later date. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or Great Lakes Hospice.
