Frank M. (George) Fletcher

Frank M. (George) Fletcher, age 82, of Stockbridge, MI, passed away on February 28, 2019 at WellBridge of Pinckney. He was born May 18, 1936 in Clayton, MI the son of Wheeler and Mae (Carpenter) Fletcher, both of whom were born in Royalton, KY.

Frank had lived in Stockbridge since 1941. He loved to travel, especially up north to Mackinac Island. He loved animals, especially dogs, and if he passed a dog, he would go out of his way to pet it. He loved to work in his yard and watch TV. He loved Westerns. He loved going out to eat. Bob Evans and Cracker Barrel were his favorite restaurants. He studied with Jehovah Witnesses for many years.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn S. (Younglove) Fletcher, daughters Terry (Rich) Samulak, and Wanda Fletcher, step-children, Randy (Lori) Minix and Candy S. Minix, eleven grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren, adopted granddaughter, Jamie (Pat) Quinn, adopted grandson, James (Rachel) Fletcher; siblings, Louise Hale of Stockbridge, Kathy Roberts of Stockbridge, Charlett (Dan) Freeman of Jackson, and Pete (Carol) Fletcher of Jackson, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, John W. Fletcher, sister, Bonnie Back, and step-son, Gary L. Burg. 

A Memorial Service will be held at the Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home, Stockbridge, on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, Stockbridge. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

The resurrection hope is “just around the corner”.
I sure enjoyed my visits with Frank. Looking forward to seeing him again.
