Ella Branham

Ella F. (Case) Branham, age 83, of Chelsea, MI,  passed away peacefully at Chelsea Retirement Community on April 26, 2019 with her son Rodney by her side.  Ella was preceded in death by her husband, James, and her parents, Maynard and Gracie (Bartley) Case, and her 13 siblings:  Nellie, Verna, Milford, Easter, Katherine, Caroline, Edna, Phinis, Dennis, Ben, Maudie, Cas, and Charles. Ella is survived by her two sons, Rodney (Ann) and Joe, five grandkids, James, Ryan, Amanda, Garrett and Lynnae, and four great-grandkids, Hailey, Gavin, Skyler and Ethan; all of which she loved so very much.

Ella was born September 28, 1935, in Little Creek, Kentucky and moved to Michigan in 1953, where she married James Branham in March 1954.  Ella returned to school in Chelsea in 1980 and graduated with honors in 1982, which she was extremely proud of this accomplishment. Ella loved shopping, especially going to Shipshewana. Ella worked at Chelsea Milling for 32 years, retiring in March 1, 1997.

Friends will be received at Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 5 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Oak Grove East Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to Waterloo United Methodist Church in the name of Ella Branham.

My deeopest condolences to Rodney, Joe, & fgamily. Ella was one of a kind, loved by everybody. Excellent cook....Made the best corn breade & beans I've ever eaten. Ella will bee missed but she is suffering no more pain. RIP Ella.

Enjoyed Ella so much. I worked with her at Chelsea Milling and also became acquainted with Ella and Jim thru Buck and Maxine Gullett. They were a fun couple. Rest in peace sweet lady.
