Dean Katz

Dean Eldon Katz at the age of 85 went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He passed in peace on his family farm the morning of Thursday, June 27, 2019. He was the son of Eldon and Hazel (Wahl) Katz, born on May 15,1934 in Stockbridge, MI. Dean was a Munith native his entire life, where he began farming at a very young age. He graduated from Stockbridge High School in the class of 1952. Dean was a member of the Board of Directors for Farmers State Bank of Munith, nearly two decades. Dean was known for his love of traveling, country music, John Deere and International tractors, and his faith, attending the Munith United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Ann (Lytle) Katz, the love of his life, who he married on June 26, 1960. He is also survived by his children Deborah (Patrick) Feeney of Dansville, MI and Michael (Michelle) Katz of Munith, MI. Dean was blessed with six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Doris Katz Leider. Visitation will be held Monday, July 1, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home, Stockbridge, MI. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 @ 11:00 a.m. at Munith United Methodist Church, with visitation starting @ 10 a.m. until time of service with Steve Weinberger, Larry Rubingh and Craig Goodlock officiating. Burial services will follow at the Munith Cemetery. Donations in honor of Dean can be made to Munith United Methodist Church, Munith, MI.

So very sorry to read abut Dean. He was such a nice guy. While I didn't spend much time with him of late I always looked forward to a good visit. Rest in Peace my Friend.
