Brigette Susan Reinhardt

Brigette Susan Reinhardt born 10/29/1975 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She was sent to her eternal home surrounded by family on July 17, 2025 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. 

Brigette was well known and was a shining light in the lives of all who had the chance of knowing her. Her journey in this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and kindness. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you remember her for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had been blessed by knowing her. 

Brigette is survived by her loving daughter Gabriella M Landini, Father Ken Reinhardt, Stepdad David Steinocher, Mother Rose (Curtis) Reinhardt, Brother Jerry Reinhardt, along with her significant other James Grigonis and his sons Dylan and Tyler Grigonis residing in Brooklyn, Michigan. Also many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. 

After her graduation at Jackson College in the Medical Assistant Program, She loved working in the medical field and as a cashier at Polly’s Market.

Delores Shippe

Delores Shippe, age 80, of Stockbridge, MI, passed away on July 12, 2025 at her home in Bunkerhill Township, MI with her family at her side.

Delores was born on December 4, 1944 in Detroit, MI to Basil and Viola (Anderson) Bromley. She had lived in the Stockbridge area for the past 24 years, moving from Westland. Delores dedicated much of her career to helping others. She worked as a Patient Transport Manager at Oakwood Hospital and later as a paraprofessional for the Stockbridge School District where she was fondly known as Grandma Dee.

She also brought joy to many as a professional clown known as “Dee Dee the Clown,” and she enjoyed performing all around the state, including the Day in the Village in Stockbridge and Sounds and Sights in Chelsea. Delores enjoyed cooking and was a talented seamstress. She was especially known for making clothes and costumes for her family and friends.

Delores married Bruce W. Shippe Sr. on August 12, 1963 in Flat Rock, MI, and he survives. Also surviving are three children, Bruce Shippe Jr. of Livonia, Liz (Kim) Hofrichter of Livonia, and Tracy (Craig) Nothnagel of Gregory; six grandchildren, Jessica (PJ) Laskaska, Stephanie Shippe, Amanda (John) Khzouz, Craig Nothnagel III, Jack Nothnagel, and Samantha Nothnagel and three great-grandchildren, PJ, Adelyn and Charlie; two brothers, Douglas Bromley of Monroe, Darrell (Connie) Bromley of Manchester, and Gertrude (Douglas) Shank of Taylor.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home, on Sunday, August 3, 2025, from 2-4 p.m., with a brief service at 4:00 p.m.

Patricia Ann Watkins

Patricia Ann Watkins, age 72, formerly of Dexter, Michigan.

Our beloved mother, Patricia Ann Watkins, passed away on July 5, 2025 after a lengthy illness. She leaves behind her daughter, Stephanie L. Adams of Dexter, MI, and her son, Patrick M. Hoey of Wixom, MI.

She was born on August 10, 1952, in Garden City, MI, to parents, Charles and Dorothy Watkins, who preceded her in death, as well as her brother, Guy Watkins, sister-in-law, Paula Watkins, nephew, Hayden Watkins, and brother-in-law, Dennis Ferrell.

Those who remain are her sisters, Judy Ferrell, Debbie (Bob) Giggey, Kathy (John) Carroll, and Connie (Marc) Toma, sister-in-law, Roxanne Watkins, and many nieces and nephews.

Patty will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother to her children, and for her love of her parents. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed planning birthday and Christmas parties for her kids, making them as special as she could. Patty’s strength of spirit helped to guide her through the complexities of life, while raising her disabled daughter for as long as she was physically able until her illness.

There will be a private service for immediate family with interment at Washtenong Memorial Park.

Victor D. Burchett

Victor D. Burchett, age 22, of Chelsea, MI, passed away unexpectedly on July 13, 2025. Victor was born on June 10, 2003 in Ann Arbor, MI, the son of Harold and Rebecca (Kern) Burchett.

Victor had lived in the Chelsea area his entire life. He was homeschooled and grew up on his family farm in Lima Twp., where he developed a love for farming and the outdoors. He took pride in raising and showing pigs, steers, and dairy feeder calves, and was involved in the Chelsea Fair for many years.

Victor could fix just about anything and especially loved working on cars. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and his annual elk hunting trips with family and friends. He also enjoyed riding the jet ski and being on the water.

Victor is survived by his parents, Harold and Becky Burchett of Chelsea; the love of his life, Hayley Blumenauer of Manchester; one brother, Parker Burchett of Chelsea; and two sisters, Bailey Burchett (Scott Hose) of Chelsea; and Savanna Burchett (Anthony Rizza) of Chicago; and his grandparents: Donald and Alice Burchett of Grass Lake and Thomas Kern of Chelsea; as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Vickie Kern.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Chelsea Community Fair Sports Barn.

Funeral Services will be held at the Chelsea Community Fair Sports Barn on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Chelsea, MI.

Robert "Bob" Williams

Robert “Bob” Munsel Williams, age 77, of Gregory, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Bob was born on August 29, 1947, in Monroe, Michigan, to John Sharp Williams and Mary Jane Sagan Williams.

When Bob was a toddler, his family relocated to Natchez, Mississippi, and he fondly recalled his early childhood of swimming in the Mississippi River, mudding for catfish, and frog gigging. At age 11, Bob took the initiative to find a job, and throughout elementary and high school he worked a paper route, which enabled him to purchase a motorbike and later a car—all before reaching Mississippi’s legal driving age of 15. Bob’s achievements in newspaper sales earned him a trip to Spain and Portugal as a 15-year-old. He spent summers working with his father, a brick mason.

In high school, Bob played football, basketball, and ran track, also participating in the Connie Mack summer baseball team. His family moved back to Monroe, Michigan, before Bob’s senior year. There he attended and graduated Monroe Catholic Central High School, gaining admission to Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan. Bob worked for Chrysler at its Trenton Engine Plant, where he advanced to the role of the plant’s quality control manager. He retired after 35 years at age 55.

Bob married Judy (Donohue) Sweet in Stockbridge, Michigan, on April 13, 1991. The Williams couple built a home on their 232-acre farm in Unadilla Township, and Bob resided there for more than 34 years, until his death.

Bob had a ready smile and a loving heart. He was a positive and optimistic person who enjoyed life and spending time with loved ones and friends. Bob enjoyed and was skilled at playing card and board games, golfing, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; his three children, Shon (Sarah) Williams, Scott (Laurie) Williams, and Robin Erin Williams; and his siblings, sister Skip (Mark) Jostes and brother James “Sonny” (Anne) Williams. Also surviving are three stepchildren for whom Bob cared deeply: John (Rachel) Sweet, Patrick (Teri) Sweet, and Michael (Jessica) Sweet; ten grandchildren: Alicia (Jake) Boss, Kayla (Joshua) Fox, Mackenzie Williams (Brendan Bruening), Shelby (Nicole) Williams, Sharp (Chelsea) Williams, Tyler (Tiernan) Williams, Ethan Sweet, Gavin Sweet, Jake Sweet, and Gregory Sweet. He was pleased to have ten great-grandchildren and one on the way, plus several nieces and nephews, and his furry canine friend, Brody. Bob was preceded in death by his father, John Sharp Williams, and stepmother, Mary Jane Williams.

The family expresses appreciation to the Unadilla Township Fire and Police Departments for their prompt, professional, and caring response. In addition, they are grateful to the Livingston County EMS for its 911 Emergency Medical Services, and to the Livingston County 911 dispatch operator who responded to Judy’s phone call with kindness and skill.

The family will receive friends for visitation and funeral services on Thursday July 17, 2025. Visitation is 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, located at 10601 Dexter-Pinckney Road in Pinckney.

James K. Brakke

James Kirk Brakke, age 78, of Chelsea, MI, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025, in Jackson, MI.

James was born on September 23, 1946, in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of Harlan and Margaret (Olson) Brakke. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He had lived in the Chelsea area since 2018, moving from Ypsilanti.

James worked in technology sales, representing engineering design companies and specializing in 3-D software simulation. He was both a techy, who couldn’t resist a fancy new gadget, and a lover of outdoor adventures, whether simply running in the neighborhood or visiting beautiful places. He loved Motown music, sports (he followed all the Detroit and University of Michigan teams), and animals, especially the family cats and dogs.

On December 3, 1983, he married Nancy J. (McClelland), and she survives. Also surviving are four children: James (Marlene) Kirian of Florida, Todd (Michelle Merrell) Brakke of Indiana, Christopher (Amber) Kirian of Howell, and Katie Kirian of Georgia; nine grandchildren; his siblings: Jon (Mickie) Brakke of Tecumseh, Michael Brakke of Coldwater, and Pam (Joe) Benson of Rothbury, MI; Todd’s mother, Gayle (John) Amos of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. Surviving as well are many lifelong best friends, who supported him through to the end.

Special thanks to the many people who helped the family through this time of need: the VA Home-Based Primary Care Program, all of the loving caretakers at Jackson County Medical Care Facility, Elara Caring Hospice, and Jim’s respite care provider, Lisa. Very special thanks also to Jon and Mickie Brakke, and Walt and Bev Schmid, who were always on call to come over at a moment’s notice.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Inverness Country Club Clubhouse on North Territorial Road in Chelsea. Gathering will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a time of remembrance at 11:00 a.m. and a luncheon to follow.

Bonnie Patricia Mildred Udics

Bonnie Patricia Mildred Udics, age 86, of Chelsea, MI, passed away at the Chelsea Retirement Community on July 4, 2025. She was born March 30, 1939 in Chatham, Ontario, the daughter of Lorenzo and Christina (Corbett) Wiggins. She married Joseph Udics in 1984, and he preceded her in death in 2010.

Bonnie loved playing cards and Wii bowling, entertaining at her lake home in Pinckney, crocheting hats and blankets, laughing with her sisters, and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren,

Bonnie is survived by her step-daughters, Mitzi Udics-Cohen and Wendy Udics; grandchildren: Sean (Jacqueline) Stickney, Jessica (Marty) Stickney-Bednar, Ashlee (John) Kirk, Kyle Lehman, and Chance Cohen; many great-grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and three sisters, Vicki, Connie, and Patty.

In addition to her husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by her children, Raymond Stickney Jr. and Kathy Stickney-Lehman; a step-son, John Udics; a brother, Larry Wiggins, and sister, Marnie Addie.

Funeral services will take place at the Chelsea First United Methodist Church on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will take place at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.

Bonnie will be laid to rest at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia, MI.

Jeannie G. Aten

Jeannie Grace (Cook) Aten, age 87 of Chelsea, MI, passed away on December 27, 2024, at Chelsea Retirement Community. Jeannie was born on October 13, 1937, in Lansing, MI to Carl and Norma (Bush) Cook. Jeannie had lived in the Chelsea area since 1990, moving from Pinckney. She graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's in social work, then earned her master's degree from the University of Michigan. She worked in the field of social work as a family counselor for 35 years. Jeannie loved being outside and was an excellent swimmer. She also loved to travel.

On June 23, 1956, she married Wendell Rowley Aten. He passed away on November 24, 2022. They were married 67 years. Surviving are four children, Fredrick (Kari) Aten of Minnesota, Rebecca (Ross Lybrink) Aten of Howell, MI, Vicki (Don) Alcorn of Florida, and Tice (Erika) Aten of Florida; four grandchildren: Sam, Brandon, Matthew, and Tyler; and three great-grandchildren: Ainsley, Abilene, and Hendrix. She is preceded in death by her brother, Reid Cook.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, 11:00 a.m., at Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home, Chelsea, where the family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Immediately following the service, her ashes will be interred in the scattering gardens at the Chelsea First United Methodist Church, followed by light refreshments in the church’s fellowship hall.

Tim E. Clark

Tim E. Clark, age 69, of Stockbridge, MI passed away at home on June 30, 2025. He was born on December 1, 1955 in Jackson, MI, the son of Jack and Marion (Sommer) Clark.

He is survived by his wife Dawn (Bucholz), daughter Lynsey (Conner) Arnold, stepson Matt (Katelyn) Chrisinske with two grandchildren, as well as his sister Sherry Weitlauf of Stockbridge and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his three siblings.

Tim lived in Stockbridge all his life, working as a farmer and yard foreman for MPC Cashway Lumber of Williamston for 30 plus years. Tim loved his John Deere collectible tractors and Michigan Football.

Per his wishes, cremation and a private burial will take place. Donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on his behalf.

Ryan Daniel Wright

Ryan Daniel Wright, age 42, of Macomb, MI, passed away on June 29, 2025 at Select Specialty Hospital in Mt. Clemens, MI.

Ryan was born on June 27, 1983 in Lansing, MI, the son of Ronnie D. and Sherry L. (Kirby) Wright. Ryan had lived in Macomb-Oakland, MI area for the past 12 years, and prior to that he lived in Stockbridge and in Tennessee. He worked in automotive sales. Ryan enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was boating or going to the shooting range. Most of all he loved his boys, Gabriel Edwin and Dean Ryan.

Ryan is also survived by his mother, Sherry Wright of Stockbridge; a brother, Dustin (Amber) Wright of Guthrie, KY; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Wright, a sister, Casey Wright; and a brother, Brandon Wright.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, 11:00 a.m., at Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home in Stockbridge, with Pastor Missy Noll officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
