Eldean Julius Eisele, age 91, passed away at the Chelsea Retirement Community on May 25, 2021. He was born in Chelsea, MI on October 1, 1929, the son of Julius and Alma (Eschelbach) Eisele.

Eldean graduated from Chelsea High School in 1947, and Michigan State College in 1951. He enlisted in the Army following college and graduated from the Anti-aircraft and Guided Missile School at Fort Bliss, TX, serving a total of 30 months. He married Bertie Katherine Adams on March 12, 1966. He was employed by O & S Manufacturing Co. in Whitmore Lake, MI in an accounting capacity for 32 years, retiring in December of 1993. Eldean enjoyed horses, fastpitch softball, and he was an enthusiastic deer hunter and golfer. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife. He was a member of the Chelsea First United Methodist Church, the NRA, the Masonic Lodge of Chelsea (Olive Lodge #156), the American Legion Herbert McKune Post #31, and Inverness Country Club.

He is survived by two sons, W. David Adams of Bay St. Louis, MS, and John Adams of Lyons, CO; two grandsons, Jason Adams of Chelsea and David (Katie) Adams of Bay St. Louis, and one granddaughter, Emma (Jody) Horn of Littleton, CO; two great-grandsons, Cameron Adams of Bay St. Louis and Cooper Adams of Chelsea; two great-great-grandsons, Aidan and Riley of Littleton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine; sister, Marian Pierson; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Adams; and granddaughter-in-law, Stacey Adams.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at (Old) Oak Grove Cemetery in Chelsea, MI. Those wishing to make a donation in Eldean’s memory may do so to St. Jude Children’s Memorial Research Hospital or Chelsea First United Methodist Church.
