William “Kelly” Castle, age 91, formerly of Stockbridge, Michigan, passed away on June 19, 2026, at his home in Mason.
Kelly was born on November 2, 1934, in Hueysville, Kentucky, the son of George and Cindy (Nolen) Castle. He moved to Mason in 2022 but had called Stockbridge home since 1955. On July 20, 1955, he married Tressie (Jones) in Dansville, Michigan, and together they shared nearly 71 years of marriage.
Kelly was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Mission and worked for many years as a die operator for Palmer Engineering. He enjoyed gardening, working on cars, following NASCAR, and attending church. He was known for his strong work ethic, quiet faith, and dedication to his family.
He is survived by his wife, Tressie Castle; a son, Michael (Anna) Castle of Walkerville, MI; a brother, Elbert Castle of Holt; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Castle; and his siblings: Hillard Castle, Henry Castle, Ballard Castle, Frank Castle, Ruby Castle, Marian Smith, and Phoebe Shepherd.
Visitation will be held at Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Fitchburg Cemetery.
