Lawrence A. Seltz

Lawrence A. Seltz, age 96, of Dexter Township, passed away on February 16, 2021, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born in Detroit, MI on April 9, 1924, the son of Max and Ella (Long) Seltz.

Lawrence proudly served our country through the Air Corps during World War II. He resided in Sterling Heights, and he worked for General Motors as an electron microscope technician, retiring after 17 years of service. After retirement, he moved to the Dexter Township area, where he resided for the past 24 years at his daughter’s horse farm, Cobblestone Corners, working as a maintenance caretaker and handyman.

Survivors include his children, Terry (Karen) Seltz of Wisconsin, Richard (Mary) Seltz of Evart, MI, and Linda Thomas Fretz of Dexter, MI; and four grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel (Deppmann), and his grandson, Thomas Fretz.
