Anne Marie (Falk) Young, age 82, of Munith, MI, passed away December 21, 2025 peacefully at her home surrounded by family.
She was born May 31, 1943 in Port Huron, MI, the daughter of Alexander and Mary Falk. She married the love of her life, Brandt F. Young on May 29, 1965 in Port Huron. After she and Brandt both graduated from the University of Michigan, they settled in the Munith area where they resided until their passing. Anne spent several years working for the Leslie and Webberville School Districts in their Business Administration Departments. After retiring she kept busy by becoming a certified Master Gardener through MSU. She was very proud of her beautiful flower beds and bountiful vegetable garden. She joined the Waterloo Quilt Club and enjoyed spending time with her fellow quilters.
Anne was an avid sports fan, having been an accomplished softball player while growing up in Port Huron. She enjoyed helping coach her sons for many years when they played Little League baseball. She was also a die-hard U of M football fan. She loved to fish, having grown up fishing with her father. Her favorite trip was the family's annual fly-in trip to Canada with her brother, Dan.
Anne is survived by her sons, Kevin (Kelly) of Grass Lake, and Christopher (Gena) of Parma; her brother, Dan (Cindy) Falk of Waukesha, Wisconsin; granddaughters, Madisen (Travis) of Pioneer, Ohio, Caitlyn and Alexis of Parma; grandson, Ethan Delany of East Lansing; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 39 years, Brandt Young; and her eldest son, Floyd W. Young.
A memorial service will be held next spring.
