Karen Kay Walker, age 82, of Webberville, MI, passed away on March 14, 2026 at Safe Haven Assisted Living of Mason, surrounded by her family.
Karen was born on December 1, 1943 in Mason, MI, the daughter of Gary and Margorie (Thompson) Briggs. She married Dale C. Walker on July 2, 1965 in Dansville, MI, and he survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Krystal R. Roe of Webberville; three grandchildren: Johnny Craft Jr., Hunter Roe, and Brandi (Jon) Kolasa; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Walker, and son-in-law, Bradley Roe.
Karen had lived in Ingham County her entire life and graduated from Dansville High School in 1962. She was a home economics teacher for over thirty two years, working in Haslett for two years, and thirty years for the Dansville Schools. She also served as an FHA Advisor. She loved her family and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She also enjoyed spending time in Arizona and collecting Hopi Kachina figurines. She had a special love for dogs, especially Doberman Pinschers.
Visitation will be held at the Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Burial will be private.
