Mark S. Cook, of Grass Lake, MI, age 61, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 8, 2019 in Grass Lake, MI. He was born on December 20, 1957 in Ann Arbor, MI the son of Ronnie F. and Ellen J. (Maser) Cook.

Mark had lived in the area his entire life, graduating from Chelsea High School in 1976. He worked for Chrysler Proving Grounds for thirty years. He enjoyed boating, water skiing, racing dirt bikes, and vintage motocross. He also enjoyed bowling and playing softball. He was a hockey coach and a hockey dad.  

On October 1, 1988 he married Deborah A. (Minix) in Gregory, MI, and she survives. Also surviving are his son, Colin Cook of Grass Lake, brother-in-law, Richard Minix of Howell, and sister-in-law, Denise (Jim) Eccleton of Jackson, mother-in-law, Mary Minix of Gregory, four nieces and nephews, two great-nieces and one great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ron and Ellen Cook, and his father-in-law, Wilkie Minix.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Lake United Methodist Church.
