Sandra Lee Prater, age 85, passed away on August 31, 2026, in Chelsea, MI. She was born on October 4, 1940, in Chelsea, MI, the daughter of Theodore and Ella Marie (Barrick) Quigley.
Sandra moved to Florida in 1969, where she raised her family. In 2015, she returned to Chelsea to help care for her brother. Sandra was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was devoted to her faith and her relationship with the Lord. She faithfully read her Bible every day, and her faith was an important part of her life. Sandra especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved playing board games and card games, with euchre being her favorite. She was a fierce euchre player, and everyone wanted to have her as their partner. She also enjoyed working on puzzles in her free time.
She is survived by her children, Leisa Guinan, Dawn Satterlee, Patrick Guinan, Diana (Joe) Fischer, Sara Standard, Sandy (David) Pleus, and Jessica Prater, all of Florida; her brother, Michael Quigley of Howell; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Guinan, and her infant sister, Carol Ann Quigley.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 4030 Kalmbach Rd., Chelsea, MI 48118, with Pastor M. Adam Summers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
